COUNTRY REDACTED™ 001.13
SAME SYSTEM. DIFFERENT OUTFIT.™
Slavery was abolished.
Its machinery was not.
The language changed.
The laws changed.
The uniforms changed.
New systems were constructed from the architecture of the old ones: Black Codes. Convict leasing. Jim Crow. Segregation. Disenfranchisement. Unequal policing. Mass incarceration.
Different names.
Different eras.
The same question:
Who is protected by the system—and who is controlled by it?
History does not disappear simply because its vocabulary changes.
SAME SYSTEM. DIFFERENT OUTFIT.™ asks us to recognize what survives beneath the disguise.
Not to speak for Black communities.
To listen.
To learn.
To stand beside them.
To support the people already doing the work.
And to challenge the systems that continue to reproduce unequal freedom, safety, and opportunity.
Because liberation that belongs only to some of us isn’t liberation.
The outfit changed.
The system never left.
